NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH LATEST
The Community Police were at Llangrove Village Market on 20 August and had information on SmartWater. Several residents ordered packs. Get in touch with your Neighbourhood Watch representative via Llangrove Links if you want to order a pack to protect your property.
SMARTWATER is an invisible liquid which can be dabbed on electrical goods, jewellery, computers, clocks, purses, wallets – in fact, all valuables. It is almost impossible to remove and carries a ‘fingerprint’ which links it precisely with your property when it fluoresces green under ultra-violet light. The conviction rate for thieves found with marked property is 100%. This is known in the criminal community, to the extent that a SmartWater window sign alone is a very strong deterrent. Some insurance companies give a discount on home and contents policies where SmartWater has been used. A domestic kit costs over £40 on the open market but can be bought via Neighbourhood Watch for £25.

VILLAGE HALL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
CHILDRENS' PLAY AREA - PROPOSED UPGRADING
Update 29 July 2010 - The Village Hall Committee have been informed by Herefordshire Council (the grant awarding body) that, quote: "Unfortunately it is not looking very promising for Playbuilder funding as Central Government has asked for no work to start on projects." It may still happen, but it will be several weeks before it is known for certain.
Draft plans, based on childrens' earlier suggestions, were put to Herefordshire Council for grant assistance to undertake a major upgrade of the childrens' play area.
