THE COMMUNITY HUB SUPPORT
Covid-19 is presenting us all with an unprecedented and challenging situation. This virus is already requiring many of us to self-isolate whether as individuals or as family units. We want to help our community feel supported and know that there are others out there to help.
Our community initiative is to ensure that anyone who needs help will have a point of contact to call; safe in the knowledge that there is a considerable network of local volunteers with skills and access to specialists to solve most practical problems. We must stress that we are not a Medical or recognised Emergency service but a volunteer Community Service. We must all always continue to follow ongoing medical and governmental advice.
If you need transport, shopping, collection of medicines, supplies, books to read, help with pet walking, animal feeding or just a chat we can help. Over time our help may change as we learn what the community most urgently needs. Maybe you can help by supplying books or games as when families have to self-isolate many will need new things to do.
We hope to have some volunteers with IT skills who may be able to help families stay in touch via phone and services such as Skype. It may also be helpful just to have a regular phone call from a friendly voice as we know that isolation can add to anxiety.
If our Community Support can help in any way, please contact us. We all live in the Llangrove, Llangarron, Llancloudy and Three Ashes area.
Our Phone Number is: - 01989 770916
We hope to answer all calls between 9.00am and 5.00pm but if we are engaged or you ring outside these times you will be able to leave a voicemail message. Please always leave your name, address and telephone number. All calls will be logged and returned.

We are all worried by the ever changing situation and the thought of passing on this virus. All our volunteers will take every precaution when assisting you and we would ask you to do the same. Coronavirus is highly contagious. We must all take every precaution to ensure we are only spreading kindness – Wash our hands regularly. Avoid physical contact (2m distance). Any delivered items will be left on your doorstep.
In addition – The Royal Arms at Llangrove, are an excellent source of ready cooked meals that can either be collected or delivered locally. It is anticipated that even if they have to close the pub they will continue to provide Take Away food. If we are to keep our pub during these difficult times it is important to support them if we can. This service may be invaluable to those in isolation for long periods. Please make sure everyone knows a good hot meal is only a phone call away. (01989) 770267

NOTE: Please do not use Llangrove’s red telephone box book exchange during Lockdown. A notice is there to remind you - as we all know Coronavirus can remain on metal and other surfaces for 72 hours, maybe longer, so it is a necessity that we minimise all health risk to our community. Thank you for your understanding. Stay safe and well.
